Shipping Policy

This policy covers physical book orders placed via the Ari Roper website.

Where we ship

  • We ship from Australia.

  • Available countries and real-time rates are shown at checkout. If your country isn’t listed, email us and we’ll try to help.

Processing times (before a parcel leaves)

  • In-stock, not signed: 2–4 business days.

  • Signed/Personalized (“Shipping-Signed”): Usually 5–10 business days. See the “Shipping-Signed” section below.

  • Pre-orders: Dispatch begins on/after the release date listed on the product page.

Business days are Monday–Friday in Australia/Adelaide (public holidays excluded).

Delivery options (after dispatch)

  • Standard and Express options appear at checkout where available.

  • Transit time depends on the carrier, destination, and any customs inspection. Tracking is provided for all services that support it.

“Shipping-Signed” (two-leg shipping)

Some countries offer Shipping-Signed at checkout. This costs more because your book must travel twice:

  1. From the printer/warehouse to me (so I can sign it), then

  2. From me to you.
    Please allow extra time for this two-leg process. If timing is critical (e.g., a gift date), contact me before ordering.

Combining multiple books: “1 lot of postage”

If you order multiple books in one order and select 1 lot of postage, your parcel will ship together in a single package when all items are ready.

  • If your order includes pre-order items, the whole order will ship only after the pre-order items are available.

  • Want items as they become ready? See “Split shipments on request” below.

Split shipments on request

Prefer books to ship individually as they’re ready? Email me after you order. I can arrange split shipping for a secondary shipment fee (based on destination and weight). I’ll send you a payment link and ship items separately once paid.

Pre-orders

  • Release/estimated dates are shown on product pages and may change due to production or carrier delays outside my control.

  • If dates shift, I’ll update the product page and do my best to notify affected customers.

Address changes

  • If you need to change your shipping address, email me ASAP.

  • I can update it only before your order is fulfilled. After dispatch, address changes must be handled with the carrier and may not be possible.

Tracking & delivery

  • You’ll receive a tracking link (where supported) when your order ships.

  • If tracking shows “delivered” but you can’t find your parcel, please check with household members, building management, and your local post office first. Then contact me.

Customs, duties & taxes (international orders)

  • International customers are responsible for any import duties, VAT/GST, and handling fees charged by your local customs or postal service.

  • I label parcels accurately (e.g., “Books”) and declare the correct value. I cannot mark orders as gifts or undervalue goods.

Undeliverable, refused, or unclaimed parcels

  • If a parcel is returned to me as undeliverable, refused, or unclaimed, I can reship it after collecting a new postage fee.

  • If you prefer a refund instead, I’ll refund the product price only (shipping is non-refundable) once the item arrives back in sellable condition.

Lost or damaged parcels

  • Damaged on arrival: Contact me within 7 days of delivery with photos of the packaging and item so I can assist with a replacement/claim.

  • Lost in transit: If there’s no movement for a carrier-defined period (typically 30 days domestic Australia / 45 days international), contact me and I’ll open an inquiry with the carrier. Resolutions depend on carrier outcomes and service level purchased.

Partial availability & mixed formats

  • If an order mixes items with different availability (e.g., in-stock + pre-order, or standard + Shipping-Signed), the order will follow the slowest/longest item unless you arrange split shipping (see above).

Combining separate orders

  • Placed two (or more) orders going to the same address? Email me quickly and I’ll try to combine them. If successful, I’ll refund any excess postage less handling. This isn’t guaranteed once fulfillment starts.

Packaging

  • Books are shipped in sturdy mailers or boxes appropriate to their size and quantity. Larger bundles may include extra padding.

Holiday & peak-season notes

  • Carriers experience delays around major holidays and shopping periods. Please order early if you have a deadline.
